Respiratory Protection Program
All employees of Illinois State University that work with human blood or blood products will be offered the Hepatitis B vaccine. The immunization will be offered at no cost to the individual within 10 working days of their initial assignment. Re-immunizations are not required at this time if the employee has previously received the Hepatitis B vaccine.
Employees who decline the Hepatitis B immunization must immediately sign the declination form (a copy of which can be found in Appendix D of this procedure). The declination form will be kept on file within each department.
Employees who initially decline the Hepatitis B vaccine but who later wish to have it may then have the immunization provided at no cost.
